Works perfect for my small patio and prevents the umbrella from hanging over on my neighbors side. The cover is not as thick as I wished it would be. I think it can last a few years if you store in the winter and when not in use lower the umbrella. Works with both half umbrella stand or full. I highly recommend if you have a small patio area. You will not be disappointed.

Love These - Great for Deck I purchased two of these for my backyard wood deck. They both lean against the house, one covering a love seat and the other a chair and grill. They provide just the right of intimate shading with some protection from a light rain. They are both decorative and sturdy and nicely compliments the deck. A great idea and much cheaper than getting a full awning covering. I keep it outside but covered during the winter, but it has held up nicely to the weather over the past spring and summer months.

Almost as described. Delivery snafus Overall, a good product for the price. It does not tilt ( though described as such). The delivery was kind of a mess. Cloaked it was delivered. Was not. Then asked ( by Overstock) to wait' a few more days' - despite shipper records claiming delivered. In the end/ the started all over. So... Ok product, meh purchase experience.

Works great! I wish I had known about the existence of these "half umbrellas." I live in an apartment building with a tiny balcony. Initially I had bought a full umbrella to shade my apartment from the harsh Los Angeles sun. But...full umbrellas just don't work if your balcony is so tiny. Lo and behold, I heard about these "half umbrellas." I ordered it and it arrived quickly. Now I am happy to have a nice half-umbrella on my balcony!! Note of warning though -- make sure your balcony is wide enough even to handle a half umbrella. I had underestimated the width of one wall of my balcony and the half umbrella turned out to be too huge. Luckily, I still could make it work by placing it on a different wall. This is not the fault of the product in any way - it was due to my own miscalculation of my balcony space. Other than that, it's a GREAT item to have!

Wonderful Idea!!! Very happy with quality and functionality - needed something to provide cover over a door and stairs, but didn't want or need a permanent roof or awning - this half umbrella looks great and has withstood some heavy wind I didn't intend to leave it up in!

I measured mine that I recently bought and put up, including the height of the 1.5in round base/stand, from ground up it measures approximately 8ft tall and approximately 9ft wide, I also measured the umbrella itself/fabric.. that extends out when open... it measures 3.5 ft deep/jets-out. The umbrella pole can't be lowered but the umbrella can be tilted to a lower angle. If you needed the umbrella to be permanently lower you could take a metal saw and reduce the height. Just a thought!
